Axis Consulting announces the addition of Zdravko Salipur, Ph.D., Mechanical Engineer with an emphasis in biomechanics, to the firm.

Zdravko Salipur, Ph.D., Mechanical Engineer, joins Axis Consulting, to further augment the firm’s biomechanical practice while also adding Human Factors and Patent Litigation support services.

Hayward, CA, September 22 - Axis Consulting announces the addition of Zdravko Salipur, Ph.D., Mechanical Engineer with an emphasis in biomechanics, to the firm.

Dr. Salipur serves as Senior Engineer, Regional Director, in Arizona. In his new role, Dr. Salipur will perform failure analysis investigations in complex claims and litigated files in the fields of accident reconstruction, biomechanics and injury causation, human factors, patent litigation, premises liability, product liability, and professional liability. Dr. Salipur will also further assist clients in product design through user research analysis.

Prior to Axis Consulting, Dr. Salipur served as Manager, Human Factors at Exponent where he conducted incident investigations and product evaluations in relation to biomechanics. His experimental testing included sled to full-scale vehicle testing to component-level mechanical testing with anthropomorphic test devices (ATD) and human subjects. Furthermore, his expertise in motion capturing and ergonomic studies guided decisions in product designs for consumer electronic and industrial machine manufacturer clients.

Dr. Salipur received his Doctor of Philosophy (Dean’s Citation), Masters of Engineering (Summa Cum Laude), and Bachelor of Sciences (Magna Cum Laude) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky. As a graduate research assistant, Dr. Salipur was awarded the prestigious Switzer Fellowship as Principal Investigator for his Doctorate research by the National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDR).  Dr. Salipur’s research and opinions have been published in a variety of medical engineering and science publications.
